“Where the Outback meets the heart—Glenhope Bushcamp is a place to relax, explore, and connect.”
About Us
Welcome to Glenhope Bush Camp
G'day! We’re Marie & Mark (Budgie), and we’d like to invite you to join us at Glenhope Bush Camp, nestled in the heart of Cobar, NSW. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, embrace the beauty of the Outback, and escape the hustle and bustle, then you’ve found the perfect spot.
At Glenhope, we’re all about creating a space where travellers can relax, connect, and enjoy the simplicity of life in the bush—without the cost. Our camp is free to stay at but we appreciate any donations, offering a peaceful retreat where you can explore, take in the stunning landscapes, and meet new friends in a laid-back, welcoming environment. Whether you’re gathering around the campfire, sharing stories, or simply soaking up the silence of the Outback, there’s a sense of community here that makes Glenhope feel like home.
Glenhope isn’t just a camp—it’s also a small, family-run sheep farm. We’ve been on this land for four generations, and the 5th generation is now learning the ropes of farm life. We pride ourselves on being able to share a slice of working farm life with visitors who want to experience the rhythm of the land, and the heart of what makes the Outback so special. There’s always something happening on the farm—whether it’s sheep grazing on the plains or the quiet moments when the world feels still.
The sunsets are breathtaking, the stars shine brighter than you’ve ever seen, and the rugged beauty of the Outback surrounds you. And each year, we host the Big Shindig—a celebration filled with music, food, and good old-fashioned fun, where everyone comes together to enjoy the spirit of the bush.
We’re also proud to celebrate 150 years since Glenhope was established in 1874, and we look forward to sharing that history with you as you experience life on our family-owned farm.
Come and join us at Glenhope Bush Camp—where adventure, relaxation, and connection await. We can’t wait to share the simple joys of the Outback with you!
